Can I combine different focus areas in one session?
Absolutely!
Each session is completely tailored to you. We can work on a birth plan, spend time on fear release, help your partner prepare — or weave a little bit of everything together. We’ll focus on what feels most helpful for you right now.
When is the best time to book a session?
Anytime during your pregnancy is a good time!
Many families book around 24–34 weeks to give themselves time to absorb everything and practice tools. But if you’re later in pregnancy or your birth is imminent, don’t worry — we can absolutely prioritise what you need most and get you feeling ready.
What if I’m planning a caesarean or induction — can I still book?
Yes, absolutely!
These sessions are designed for every kind of birth. Whether you’re planning a spontaneous labour, an induction, a caesarean, or still exploring your options, our time together can help you feel informed, calm, and supported.
Can my birth partner join the session too?
Definitely — and it’s often really helpful if they do!
Partners are such an important part of the birth space. They’re welcome to join us for the whole session or just for the parts that focus on partner support and preparation.
You’re also very welcome to bring along any other birth supports, like your student midwife or a close support person — anyone you’d like to have involved in your preparation.
Where do the sessions take place?
You can choose what suits you best:
-
In the comfort of your own home (Perth metro area)
-
At my cosy clinic in Maylands
-
Or online via Zoom if that’s easier for you
(We can even do a mix if needed!)
How many sessions will I need?
It’s completely up to you.
Some families find one session is enough to feel clear and confident. Others prefer a follow-up closer to birth or after creating their birth plan. There’s no set structure — you book as much or as little as you need.
ettings.
What’s the cost?
Sessions are $150 per hour plus GST.
There’s no package you have to commit to — just flexible, supportive time tailored to you.
When you let me know what you’d like to cover, I’ll guide you on how much time I think we’ll need, so you feel clear and comfortable before we book anything.
What if my birth is really soon and I’m feeling overwhelmed?
You’re not too late — and you’re not alone.
If your birth is coming up fast, we can absolutely focus on the essentials and help you feel as prepared and supported as possible in the time we have. Sometimes even one really focused session can make a big difference.
And if you’re feeling so overwhelmed that you’re not even sure what you need — that’s okay too.
I completely understand that sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know.
With over 20 years of experience supporting families through all kinds of births, I can gently work out what’s most important for you, and guide you through it step-by-step.
Our prenatal session with Pip was by far the best help we got before the birth of our second child! I headed into my last trimester well informed of the benefits of a more natural approach to labour, and had the confidence to stick with my preferences when talking with medical staff. My husband was also felt confident and well equipped to support me through labour. Overall we had a great birth experience which we thank Pip for. Highly recommend her services!
